Am I alone

Carson is getting so rough with other boys. He wants to wrestle, hit and call them names for "no reason". I am truly hoping this is another phase of toddler-hood. Time outs do not work, taking away his Lego's works for the first few hours and taking away the t.v. is a joke...etc....
HELP!

Oh, I wish I had the solution! We are in the same place. All Eli wants to do is wrestle, punch, and fight. He is soooo physical. Most of the time he is doing it for fun, but he definitely pushes it too far sometimes. It is amazing how freakishly strong these boys are! Good physical activity definitely helps, but I think it is just a phase. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless he is hurting kids intentionally to be mean (and not just because he is mad about something). Good luck. It is hard. I told my husband the other day that I just don't understand boys! He laughed and reassured me that it is completely normal behavior.

I have no solutions. We deal with the same thing! If it does help, he sounds like a typical boy. I teach kindergarten, and it is pretty much universal. :)

Sorry no help here. Maya's actually very nice to others. She did go thru a phase where she really wanted to wrestle etc, so I let her and her cousin who is a very big 5 year old boy just go at it. Now she's passed the phase for now but I think she just needed to be able to play like that, and the only thing we had around were animals and her and her cousin seemd to have fun with it.

Right there with you. It's frustrating.
