What did we start...

A few months ago Carson was having really bad dreams at night. So needless to say, Jonathan and I took turns sleeping with him at night. That's right, now he will not go to sleep without one of us in his bed. Great! another habit we created and now have to break-

UGH!! That will be tough to break. Try small steps. Go to sitting at the end of the bed, to on the floor, to a little further away, to by the door, to just out th door....it worked for a few people I know, but it takes time

Sticker charts/bribery may work too!! Good luck

I wish I had suggestions. I agree with the above about trying small steps. Good luck!

never good to start something like that, definetly will be hard to break, but so hard not to when they need you. Maya has well a number of stuffed animals she sleeps with, but also her Bear that she has has since she was 3 months old. I tell her to hug him really tight when she is lonely. She had a couple of bad dreams in a row before but only one time was it so bad that I brought her into our room and put her on the floor. See there is a good thing to keep them in a toddler bed, you can't probably all sleep on that or I know Maya's would break because it used to be a crib. I would go with the first advice. Hang in there.

Hello, I'd love to follow your blog. I adopted my son domestically almost 10 months ago. He came home at 3 days old. I had originally thought (hoped) to adopt from Guatemala, which is why I started following Guatemalan blogs. When I realized that Guatemala might not open, I switched to domestic... it took 21 months (and a lot of heart breaks), but my dream came true. I have the child I can't imagine my life without. He is my greatest blessing and the light of my life.

I would be happy to share more with you via email :-)
