The winter stomach bug

has knocked on Carson's door.  Yep! He came home sick from school at 2:00pm today with a stomachache.

Busy Saturday for Carson:
Cross fit this morning at the gym,
time at the barn working with his horse,
a little xbox,
face timing with Noah, and
the best part of the day....a date with Best (dinner and a movie).

Sing, sing a song

Carson started voice lessons on Sunday.  He has an amazing little voice. My eyes were filled with tears when I heard him singing with his voice coach.

My favorite little girl

What if?

Point your finger all you want but...

God sees and knows all things. No thought can be withholden from thee. Job 42:2 For he knoweth the secrets of the heart. Psalm 44:21 Whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalm 139:7-8 The eyes of the Lord are in every place. Proverbs 15:3 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes. Jeremiah 16:17 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? Jeremiah 23:24 Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men. Acts 1:24 God ... knoweth all things. 1 John 3:20

one rude stranger.

stranger "He is really cute."
me 'Thanks.'
stranger "what is he?"
me 'excuse me?'
stranger "what is he? like...hmmm, where is he from?"
me  'He is my son and he is a gift from God.'
end of story.

Christmas list

xbox 360
quad
bow and arrow
beyblades
paint ball gun (for kids) lol
speed skates
baseball bag

I am in trouble with a list like this...

Carson dropped something 'chips' on the kitchen floor and he yelled, "Kyndle."  Carson looked at me and said, " I am sorry." Before I could reply tears were flowing out of our eyes.  We stood in the kitchen hugging and weeping together.

I miss her

bark.
following me around the house.
always waiting for me.
soft fur.
feet walking through the house.
waiting for me to come back after a ride.
hanging out with me at the horse farm.
hanging out with the little ones while they played or watched movies.
being next to my bed in the morning.
eating all the food the little ones dropped on the floor.
sloppy kisses.
hanging out in the bathroom while I took a shower.
big brown eyes.
walking around the house showing off her bone or new stuffed animals.
hanging outside while I work in the yard.
walking down the hallway.
I just miss my Kyndle.

Psalm 34:13

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.

I am protected. Are you?

Verses About Protection From Evil

Psalm 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 91:1-3   He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”  For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

Psalm 121:7-8   The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. 8 The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

2Timothy 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Bible Verses On Protection

But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.

1John 5:18  We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

9/2/14

Carson's first day of second grade. Of course Cinderella had to get in the photo.

Still....

 morning's just a moment away
And I'm without you once again
You laughed at me
You said you never needed me
I wonder if you need me now

So many dreams that flew away
So many words we didn't say
Two people lost in a storm
Where did we go?
Where'd we go?

We lost what we both had found
You know we let each other down
But then most of all
I do love you
Still

We played the games that people play
We made our mistakes along the way
Somehow I know deep in my heart
You needed me
'Cause I needed you so desperately
We were too blind to see

But then most of all
I do love you
Still

Carson is off to a great start this school year.  While he is suffering from some testing anxiety.  He is hitting the mark with his grades, behavior and relationships.

Happy Birthday, Best !

I hope you have a wonderful day. We have so much fun together.  I love hanging out with you.  I love riding in your car with the top down.  I love riding the rides on the boardwalk with you. I love our time together. But most of all, I love you!

Happy 8th BIrthday Carson

Dear Carson,

Today is your 8th birthday.  I can't believe you are that age already.  Where has the time gone??  You are truly a blessing to daddy and me.  We are watching as you grow up so fast and we are so proud of who you are and who you are becoming.  You are so smart and funny and kind and strong.

God, we pray for Carson.  We ask that you continue to fill him with wisdom and compassion and strength.  We thank you for blessing us with him.  Continue to draw him close to You and direct his steps.

Tonight Cinderella said, " I think something is inside Kyndel. I hear this beeping sound."

5 hours on the beach today (yes there are beaches in NJ, John Carney). The little ones had a great time.  Carson jumped the waves while Cinderella was busy making friends.

Just the highlights

Hershey Park, Wildwood boardwalk and Storybook land all within one week. Phew! Of course I did not remember to bring my camera to any of the parks. At Hershey Park, Carson rode his first upside down rollercoaster.  He loved it. On the Wildwood boardwalk, Cinderella went on her first haunted ride. Finally, at Storybook land Carson was our tour guide as Best takes him there a few times a year.  Overall, we had a great time.
We do not want the summer of 2014 to end....

A note from a Guatemala team member sent on Monday night.

We arrived back home safely late last night at around 12:30 am.  The trip was amazing.  We built 2 homes, delivered over 50 wheelchairs, hand delivered food and clothing to app. 15 families living in remote areas (many live at the base of a volcano!), and prayed for and with countless men, women, and children.  God was clearly at work all week as people gave their lives to the Lord, others rededicated their lives to the Lord, and many received physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.  A number of our team members experienced spiritual warfare and physical illness, especially during the latter part of the week, but your prayers made all the difference as everyone felt much better by the time we headed home yesterday morning.  So thank you again for your prayerful and financial support and being a part of bringing glory to our God. Praise God for GretaJo who started this journey seven years ago.

Thanking God for his strength this week.  I can really feel the prayers.

Carson should of been a fish.

baggage

so my baggage has left the country this morning at 4:15am. I sent five suitcases to Guatemala with the team. Please pray for them as they are going to be challenged mentally and physically.

Life is too short
to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forgive the ones who don't and believe everything happens for a reason.

-fortunate youth

One day I will want...
to hear that little voice call me mommy every 5 minutes.
to feel that little hand on me at night with a soft voice saying " Can I sleep with you?"
the same song played over and over again (right now its, What did the fox say).
to hear mommy will you play with me?
to pick up the toys I just fell over.
to wipe that cute little face that has ice cream all over it.
to buckle him in the car
to sit at baseball practice while its 90 degrees out.
    to be the taxi driver.
    my little boy back.

Life is going by so quickly.  I want to savor every moment with my children.  Do not wish time away.
