Ants like me-

Tonight at the baseball field Carson told me he found friends.
Me: really?
Carson: I show you Mommy...
Me: ok
Carson: See, the bugs like me
Me: Oh
Carson: There is lots of them, Mommy.

Sunny weather and baseball

We had unseasonable warm weather this weekend. It was HOT, sunny and beautiful-
Saturday was opening day for the baseball season. So, Jonathan, Carson and I went to support my Dad's team. Yea- they won! Carson watched 95% percent of the game. He would say, "watch the pitcher, Mommy." Sunday after church Carson was pitching the ball to Jonathan for a good 20 minutes and loving every minute of it (so was I). I really hope Carson continues to love the sport.

Take two and call me in the morning-

Last night about 11:30 pm I started to get a horrible headache. As I laid in my warm, comfortable bed I was trying to convince my lazy bones to get up and take a Motrin. As I laid there for a few more minutes, I could not help but fantasize about the families in the villages of Guatemala that I visited or made eye contact with. My thoughts were all over the place; wondering if they were warm, dry, comfortable and healthy. What do they do if they do not feel well? What medicine do they take, if anything? How do they handle pain, without taking medication? Ugh! I was exhausted even more just by thinking about the families in Guatemala. Well, I finally walked to the medicine cabinet and took 2 Motrin. At the same time I swallowed the medication I began to pray about the families in the villages. I am so blessed to have been born and raised in the United States. Sure, I have had my share of heartache, struggles, and failures. However, I have not gone to bed hungry, cold where I could not get warm, in pain where medication did not help, and I have always had a roof over my head for protection. I am challenging myself, the next time I feel I am without that I will pray for those who really are...

No Random order

Jonathan, Carson and I were extremely busy last week with family gatherings. I must say- I LOVE spending time with my family. My favorite brother(only brother) Joey came home for a few days to celebrate Easter with us. We had our traditional English muffin pizzas, dyed Easter eggs x2, Easter egg hunt at my parents home, went to church, went to the wildwood boardwalk, played the Wii, had family dinners at my home, prayed as a family, laughed, and had the usual worldly debates. Overall we had a busy but blessed and healthy Easter.

God bless you and cover your mouth

Last week I felt like a broken record with Carson. God bless you Carson and please cover your mouth when you cough. He suffered from the seasonal virus and cold that comes around this time of year. The physician prescribed a cough syrup and Motrin over the counter. Of course I was concerned about his germs spreading every time he coughed and/or sneezed. So needless to say, I was washing my hands more then normal, disinfecting the furniture and door nobs daily as I dislike being sick. By Thursday afternoon Carson was starting to act like his funny loving self. Our weekend was completely jammed packed with commitments so there was no room for sickness. All weekend I was subconsciously thinking, Thank God, I did not get Carson's germs from last week. Well, by Monday morning I was sneezing and coughing up a lung. UH! What am I writing 'was' I still am... I am so thankful for Jonathan, he has taken care of the night routine with Carson, dinner and making me some awesome hot tea.
