A couple of people have asked me recently "why do you blog"? So, I pondered the question for a few hours and my reasoning is the following:
I was a 'blog lurker' of Guatemalan adoption blogs for many months before I decided to take the plunge into the blogging world. I began blogging after Carson's first birthday. My initial reason for blogging was to keep family members and friends updated on Carson's life. However, after blogging for a month I decided I wanted to keep a general journal of his milestones, my feelings and thoughts about him, life challenges, life lessons, friends who love him and family members who truly adore him.
So, why do you blog?

Can I just say, first, how cute Carson is?!?! What an angel.
I began my blog to share with friends and family. I could not have imagined how it would lead me to so many amazing families. That is just so God, isn't it?!?
I second what Beth said all the way.
Yep, third it - I started blogging to keep everyone informed on our adoption process and now I can't imagine "stopping."
In fact, I think it's wierd that all my non-adoptive friends AREN"T blogging. I'm like will you get on board! ;-)
And Carson IS adorable. It looks like he has the same eight teeth Austin and Logan have!
I blog to pass my time until my daughter comes home...courtney
I also was a blog lurker, but then took the plunge. I started it as a journal for my family. A way to remember the little things they did, and we do as a family. It has turned into so much more. The blog world really becomes a family as well. Friends from all over who get what you think and go through more than anyone else.
I am glad you started blogging. I adore Carson. He and Reese are the same age. I enjoy knowing others who have kids the same age as I do.
He is looking like such a big boy these days!
Thanks for your kind words on my blog yesterday - much needed and appreciated. Carson is adorable - his smile is awesome.
I agree with the others. I got tired of always being asked over and over again, "So where in the process are you?" So I began blogging during Maria's adoption. That way, families and friends could know where we were. Then it just became a good outlet for me. I used to scrapbook...just don't have time for that now. But now if I want to know what was going on this time last year, I can look it up on the blog. And it is still an easy way to keep family and friends updated about our family, new pictures, etc. Plus I have made some wonderful friends doing it. :)
