Saturday we had a wonderful time at Carson's birthday party. He received a lot of fun toys from family and friends; horse truck and trailer, CAT dump truck, block truck, big wheel with sounds, puzzles and clothes. Carson had a blast playing with everyone and of course he was the center of attention.
Sunday evening my parents, Tracey, Levin and Jonathan came over for dinner. After dinner we all enjoyed (except for Tracey), ice cream birthday cake from Carson's party. A family evening get together is not complete without a competitive game on the Wii.
Today Carson was circumcised at Children's Hospital ( yep, two days after his birthday). The physicians and nurses were excellent. Carson did very well until the last dose of medication. He had a reaction to the medication which caused him to be completely out of control. He screamed, yelled, kicked, bit, cried, had trouble getting his breath. After 30 minutes of wildness Carson finally settled down. Thank goodness my Essie (my mom) was with me. She was a great help. Carson has to keep the treatment on for three days. He can not run, jump, straddle any of his toys for 2 weeks. Oh- its going to be a long two weeks!!

Poor Carson, poor Mommy. Still, it helped to read this...we are planning on making an appointment to see the dr. this month for our son. It helps me be prepared. (For our older son, it was done shortly after he was born so I wasn't really even aware of it)
I do like the birthday pictures and hope he had a happy birthday and is remembering those happy memories now. :)

All the toys look so cool I wish we lived closer so we could play together!! SOOOOOO sorry about your little procedure. Been there, done that. It is not fun, and you feel icky and sore for a bit, but then it just gets better.

Catching up on my blogging buddies. WOW it looks like you've had such a GREAT summer! I love all the pictures...so many wonderful memories. Happy Birthday Carson, you are such a handsome boy!! (The girls will be calling before you know it!) I am sorry that you had to watch Carson have a bad reaction:( We went through that with Ethan too. Hope that he heals well and he can jump around soon! Wow, two already. It just flies by, doesn`t it?
I`m a bit curious about the circumcision . . . was there a specific reason for doing it? Sorry to hear he had a reaction. Poor little guy!
