Lately, I have been thinking and praying about Carson being the 'only' child. At this time in my 'single' life I do not feel I am capable of caring for another child. However, in the near future when Carson is a little older I would love to adopt again from Guatemala. I would love for Carson to have a sibling from his 'Country'.
Do you think Guatemala adoptions will be closed 'forever'? What are your thoughts? Do you have any insight?

I pray that they open again soon because there are so many precious children who need families! I'm only 20, but one day I want to adopt! Your son is such a cutie!
I do think they'll open again. I don't know when but I just know they will!
I hope they will open again...my heart breaks for all of the children who may never find forever homes and families. However, I am more concerned about whether the US will allow them to open again...I have never really thought the people "higher up" were big on international adoption. Hope I am wrong.

I hope and pray they will open again. Though I think our family is complete, I hope and pray so many will find their forever families.

Well, when God pulled us out of our waiting on a Guatemalan adoption...God told my husband that He would allow us to go back at another time...so I'd have to say it will reopen...but I am thinking it will be awhile, as it is a mess right now.

I think it will open up again. While I don't think I'll do it again, I know many other families that would love to adopt from Guatemala right now... my heart breaks knowing that now these children will be denied to be placed with forever families because of the government.
I know that they will re-open Guatemala adoptions. It's a matter of time. Be glad that Carson is here and safe. By the time Guatemala has gotten everything straightened out, maybe you'll be ready for round two :)
